The new fragrance is based on two outstanding qualities of vetiver, one from Haiti, the other from Java. To highlight the complex facets of these essences, a sparkling bergamot blends with the woody, aromatic freshness of cypress and smooth elemi. In the heart notes of Encre Noire à l’Extrême, this woody palette is enhanced by two of the noblest materials in perfumery. Precious, elegant iris wraps the vetiver accord. Spiritual, sensual incense lends its dusky depth and evocative power. A voluptuous dry-down of caressing sandalwood and velvety patchouli, made more addictive still with a lick of balsamic benzoin, prolongs this woody intensity. A sensuous trail made all the more unique and unforgettable that it stays masculine… in the extreme.
